Unlike many off-the-shelf chargers that default to 53.2 V, this charger intentionally limits the voltage to 52.2 V. This lower, more conservative setpoint reduces the risk of individual cell overvoltage, helping to prevent BMS overvoltage alarms, unnecessary battery shutdowns, and long-term cell stress.

The result is a safer, more stable charge profile that prioritises battery longevity and system reliability—particularly important for recovery charging, maintenance charging, and winter operation where batteries may be at low state of charge.

This charger can be run from a generator. At full output, the charger draws up to ~750 W. As portable generators rarely deliver their rated power continuously or at peak efficiency, additional headroom is recommended to ensure stable operation.
