Pylontech US2000 US3000 Pack Balancing & Service Interface PCB
Couldn't load pickup availability
A purpose-designed interface PCB that connects directly to the three internal battery packs of US2000, US3000 batteries via the original white 10-pin balance connectors.
This board can be installed in-line with the BMS to allow connection of an external active balancer, or used standalone for service and recovery work. It enables safe access to each 5S pack for balancing, charging, or individual cell voltage correction using a compatible 5S balancer or a bench power supply.
Ideal for fault recovery, pack balancing, cell balancing and controlled charging of individual packs or cells during maintenance and repair. It also allows access to the temperature sensor within each pack for diagnostic and measurement.
The user should be proficient using a voltmeter, bench PSU and/or active balancer equipment.
Kit includes:
- Pre-populated interface PCB
- 3× balance cables (compatible with original)
- 10-way connectors (matching original Pylontech pack / BMS sockets)
Key features:
- Direct compatibility with US2000 / US3000 / US5000 internal packs
- Uses the same white 10-pin connector as Pylontech CCMU and BMS boards
- Supports external 5S lithium-ion balancers
- Enables individual pack or cell charging via bench power supply
- Non-invasive service access without permanent modification
Designed for technicians and advanced users performing diagnostics, balancing, and battery recovery work.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can this interface board be used to charge individual cells?
Yes. Using a voltmeter, you can identify the appropriate pins on the green terminal connectors that are wired directly across an individual cell. These pins can be connected to a current-limited bench power supply, allowing individual cells to be carefully brought back in line with neighbouring cell voltages. Always charge at a low current and monitor cell voltage continuously.
Can this interface board be used to measure the voltage of the entire battery pack?
Yes. If the three internal packs are removed from the enclosure but the internal yellow XT connectors remain connected between the packs, it is possible to measure the overall pack voltage via the interface board.
Can I use a 15S balancer with this interface board?
Yes, it is possible to use a 15S balancer with this system. However, compatibility must be confirmed with the balancer manufacturer’s documentation before use. We do not provide balancer pinout diagrams, as pin assignments vary widely between different balancers. If you would like us to review your proposed wiring before connection, please email us a clear wiring diagram and we will be happy to check it for you.
Why do I see the same voltage present on multiple pins?
Each internal battery pack uses a 10-pin connector. Two pins are used for the temperature sensor, and some pins are internally commoned to the final cell in the 5S pack. As a result, it is normal to see the same voltage on more than one pin. This is expected behaviour and does not indicate a fault.
Can this board be used in-line with the original BMS?
Yes. The interface board can be installed in-line between the internal battery packs and the original BMS, allowing an external balancer to be connected without permanent modification to the battery.
Can the board be used without the original BMS connected?
Yes. The board can be used in isolation for servicing, recovery, balancing, and controlled charging of individual packs or cells using an external balancer or a bench power supply.
Is this product suitable for end users?
No. This product is intended for experienced technicians and advanced users who are familiar with lithium battery systems, cell balancing, and safe charging practices. Incorrect use may result in battery damage or safety risks.
Does the kit include everything required to balance the battery?
The kit includes the interface PCB, balance cables, and connectors. External equipment such as balancers, bench power supplies, and measurement tools are not included and must be supplied by the user.
